Flu shot day
--note: I hope you guys like it, enjoy!---
You are a second year in high school, and today was the worst day of your life. Today was the day everyone was going to get their flu shots. Now most people wouldn’t make a big deal out of it but you did, you have a phobia for needles. Just the thought of having a needle puncturing your skin could make you run for the hills. So, you had decided to skip out on today….
That was until your doorbell rang. When you opened the door, your stomach dropped, there stood Ivan, a big smile plastered on his face, waiting for you. “Good morning sunflower~ You ready to go to school?” he asked innocently as if nothing odd was going on. Which in fact there was, he had never come to pick you up before. The tall, Russian, fourth year, was your boyfriend and you would normally meet him on the way to school.
“Today is special day~” He chimed although you felt like today was going to be the day that you’d die. And you were going to try to tell Ivan you weren’t going to come today, although you weren’t sure he would let you skip today.
“Well you see, I’m n-not feeling very well and m-my cat died and my mom’s gone and well I’m not going to go to school today.” You said as fast as you could to get it over with, you were very bad at lying, especially to your boyfriend from whom you knew he would know if you were lying or not.
You watched Ivan to see what his reaction would be, and to your surprise there was none. His smile didn’t falter and his eyes didn’t even twitch. “That is sad to hear, but it is not reason to miss out on class, we should go or we are going to be late~” he said in a cool voice which told you he was not taking no for an answer, otherwise he would just drag you to school. You had seen him do that before, and it seemed he would be perfectly capable of dragging you with him as well.
Grabbing your books and stuffing them in your back you came up with a new plan, just hide when you have to get your shot and then act like you got it around Ivan. “I’m ready.” You said and walked to school with him. You didn’t dare say anything afraid he might figure out your next plan.
When you arrived at school you and Ivan bid each other farewell and went to your classes. The shots would be at the end of the day, just after the last break.
----magical timeskip to the first break-------
When you came out of class Ivan was already waiting for you, still smiling. You had no idea how he got out of class this fast but he did. “Ready for some food, da~?” He asked, and with a nod from you, took your hand and took you outside where you ate some snacks together.
“So, Ivan, do you need to get your shot today as well?” You asked hating yourself for bringing up the subject. Ivan halted his eating and turned to you with a smile. “I had mine yesterday~ All years have them at different moments~ Yours is today, da?~” He asked knowing full well yours was today.
You gulped and smiled at him “I think mine is next week or something, don’t really know nor care, I don’t need them, right?” You asked with a grin hoping he wouldn’t notice your lie. Ivan seemed to think about that for a moment. “Da I think you need them, you need to stay strong~ Do not worry, I know when yours is~” He deadpanned and gave you a hug.
“I can come with you to get it~ You do not need to go alone my sunflower~” He promised while he hugged you. You hugged him back of course but felt a kind of oppression from the hug, you knew he meant that you were going to get the shots, he would make sure of it.
You sighed and decided to resign to your fate. The end of your break was coming up so you two got up and Ivan escorted you to your next class. “I will meet you here at end of class da?” He asked with a big smile which made you smile a little too “Yep, I’ll meet you here.” You agreed although you hoped he would forget.
Walking into your classroom, you and Ivan waved at each other. You had to think of something and quick.
-------Another magical time skip to the next break-------
As soon as the bell rang you went out of classroom expecting Ivan to be there, but he wasn’t there at all! You sighed relieved, you could still get out of this, run while you still could. And that’s what you did, you ran down the hall to find a spot to hide. You looked behind you for one moment and saw Ivan walk up to your classroom, but you kept running.
After a while you hid in the guy’s locker room, you knew no one would come here because it was lunch break right now.
Around half an hour later you snickered from your spot in the dark, you had won, no one was going to take you to get your shots. You were safe.
The locker room door opened out of nowhere which made you squeak and hide in one of the showers. You heard someone walking around but you didn’t dare look. Turning around you looked at your phone to see what time it was.
Your vision was suddenly taken away though when something covered your eyes which made you scream with fright. Strong arms picked you up and flung you over their shoulder before walking off. You struggled and squirmed until you heard a very familiar voice. “No need to fear da~” Ivan cooed as he hauled you through the school.
You now knew it was his fluffy scarf was what was blinding you, and it was even softer than you thought it was going to be. “Ivan put me down! I can walk on my own!” You demanded as you tried to take your ‘blindfold’ off. But it was bound too tight, so you couldn’t get it off.
“Nyet, we would not want to have you miss your shots~” You growled to yourself about how much of a control freak Ivan was. You heard doors open and close and you just knew you were in the gym now, where they were giving the shots. You could hear that there were a lot more people, which made you blush because of Ivan carrying you like this right now.
You did not have long to think about that though because your position was suddenly changed and you were sitting in Ivan’s lap, his arms around yours. “I-Ivan, please, I don’t want my shots!” You exclaimed, feeling your hearth beat in your throat. Ivan nuzzled his face in your neck and pecked your cheek “Everything is fine, I am here, no one will hurt my little sunflower~” He promised “Besides, you cannot fear what you cannot see da?” He asked as you suddenly felt a sting in your left arm.
You pouted, that hurt. “There, All done, let’s get some ice cream da?” Ivan chimed as he let go of you. You took his scarf off, only to hang it around your neck nuzzling it. “I’m keeping this.” You told Ivan, making him chuckle. “It looks good on you~” He nodded in approval before he gave you a kiss and taking your hand, walking off to get some ice cream.
